Privacy

We run a diner. This website has no sign-up, no account, no shopping cart and no contact form — there is nothing on it for you to fill in, so we collect nothing about you ourselves.

The site doesn’t count or track its visitors. The only other company’s code it runs is a Google map on one page, listed below. Nothing else is going on.

What this site never does

• No forms. The one text field on the whole site is the search box on the menu page, and what you type there never leaves your browser. It hides and shows rows of a menu that is already on the page. It is not sent anywhere, to us or to anyone else, and it is not recorded.
• No accounts, no logins, no mailing list.
• No payments. We never handle a card number on this site. Online ordering happens on Toast — see below.
• No analytics or visitor counting. We don’t know how many people visit or what they read.
• No advertising or remarketing tags, and we don’t sell, rent or trade anything about you.

The lettering and the pictures

The typefaces, the logo, the photos and the menu pages are all served from this website itself. Nothing is requested from a font or image service, so no third party sees your IP address because of them, and no cookies are set.

The map on the Location page

Location & Hours has a Google Map embedded in it. Opening that page loads the map from Google, which means Google sees your IP address and that the map was shown. What Google does with that is described in the Google Privacy Policy. No other page loads it.

Ordering, directions and the links out

The Order Online buttons hand you over to Toast. Directions links open a maps app or Google Maps, and review and social links open those sites. Those are separate companies with their own privacy policies and their own tracking, and the moment you land there this page no longer applies to you. Your payment details are handled by Toast, not by us — what reaches the diner is the order.

If you call or write

We are a phone-and-counter business. If you call (607) 510-0088 or email waltondiner@gmail.com, then we have whatever you told us — your name, your number, your order — for as long as it takes to sort it out. That stays between you and us. It never touches the website.

What you can do about it

• Every browser will let you block or delete cookies. Nothing here breaks if you do.
• Content blockers work fine here. With one running, the map simply doesn’t load — the menu, the hours and every phone number still work.
• This site doesn’t read “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals, because it runs nothing of its own for them to switch off.

Changes

If we ever add something that collects more than this — visitor statistics or a booking form, say — this page changes at the same time. The date below is when it was last checked line by line against what the site actually loads and stores.
